za:media Confirms Legal Action Following Internal Fraudand Misuse of Company Assets
Dear Clients and Partners,
In early 2025, we uncovered serious internal misconduct involving Mr. Nitik Narang, who served as
co-director of za:media GmbH from 04th September 2023 to 25th March 2025, and Mr. Vipul Bansal, who also
worked with us in the past
Over a period of several months, Mr. Narang and Mr. Bansal:
- redirected client budgets to private or unrelated accounts,
- misused company-owned materials, designs, and data for external purposes,
- retained access to confidential documents after leaving the company,
- appropriated za:media branding, project assets, and event infrastructure to falsely present themselves as active representatives,
- withheld critical information from management, obscuring their true intentions,
- misled clients into believing they were still working with za:media while secretly redirecting them to a new business entity,
- and actively prepared the launch of a competing agency (“Ethnify Ltd.”) while still employed and acting on behalf of za:media.
These actions were carried out without the company’s knowledge or approval and have caused:
- significant financial losses,
- disruption of ongoing campaigns and internal workflows,
- damage to long-standing client relationships,
- and reputational harm due to confusion around project ownership and accountability
We have gathered extensive documentation, including contracts, financial records, correspondence, WhatsApp communications, access logs, event documentation, and video evidence of unauthorized use of company property. Legal action is currently underway. A formal criminal complaint is being filed, and we are pursuing civil claims for damages and injunctive relief.
In several cases, Mr. Narang used stolen promotional materials and event equipment from our warehouse to carry out private campaigns. These activities were conducted using assets developed and funded by za:media, without our knowledge or permission, for clients who had previously worked with our agency. In at least one confirmed case, the client stated they were unaware of the situation and believed they were working with a UK branch of za:media. These incidents were presented under false pretenses, using za:media’s materials, branding, and client history to gain trust and redirect budgets to the newly registered company.
Despite this breach of trust, we have responded quickly and decisively. Since Mr. Narang’s departure,
za:media has:
- implemented new internal control measures and access protocols,
- completed a full leadership and structural realignment,
- regained the trust of affected clients through transparency and professionalism,
- and taken steps to protect the company from similar misconduct in the future.
Founded over 20 years ago, za:media GmbH is one of Europe’s most trusted agencies for multicultural marketing. Led by Qamar Zaman, who is personally known in the industry for integrity and professionalism, the company stands for ethics, accountability, and long-term client partnerships. The actions of Mr. Narang were carried out independently and are fundamentally incompatible with the values, ethics, and professional standards of za:media. We had no involvement or prior knowledge of his conduct and clearly distance ourselves from it. We are sharing this information not out of emotion, but in the interest of transparency and to protect other businesses from potential harm. If you have been approached by Mr. Narang or individuals affiliated with “Ethnify Ltd.” or Mr. Vipul Bansal, we strongly recommend verifying any claims directly with us.
Please note:
za:media GmbH does not operate any official branches in the UK or any other country.
If in doubt, always confirm directly with Qamar Zaman, the founder and sole CEO of the company.
We remain committed to ethical business conduct, trust-based partnerships, and full legal clarity.
Qamar Zaman
