On time for the Christmas season, za: media launched a campaign for the Serbians, Romanians, Phillipinos, Croatians, Russians, Polish, Bulgarians and Ukrainians in Germany, on behalf of MoneyGram. In a total of 11 cities, small scale Christmas markets were built at the main stations, which informed about MoneyGram’s latest offers . The giveaways were very popular: more than 20,000 pieces were distributed. The merchandise reached from self-branded chocolate Advent calendars to Christmas brochures with Christmas recipes from different countries.
A photo booth, in which a picture could be taken with funny accessories, was one of the highlights on the X-Mas tour. Each image was given a code that could be used to download the photo on the landing page, www.moneygram-live.com, which was created especially for the campaign. A short registration and the registration for the newsletter were necessary for the picture.
The absolute highlight of the Christmas campaign were the Virtual Reality glasses. Various videos were available on our iPads to give the people a homely feeling. Many of the visitors were very happy about a 360° walk through well-known native cities and landscapes.
The campaign was filled with beautiful moments. One Polish man, for instance, tried one of the Virtual Reality glasses in Munich and was ever so touched emotionally, as he got to see sights of his beloved home country Poland, which had not visited for more than 15 years.
